Privacy Policy
Last updated: 11 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data HORSETEK ("we", "us") collects through horsetek.eu, why we collect it, who receives it and what choices you have. We collect as little as we can: the site has no user accounts, no advertising and no visitor tracking.
Who is responsible for your data
We are the data controller for the personal data described in this policy.
- Company: HORSETEK
- Registered office: Bucharest, Romania
- Email: [email protected]
What we collect
- Contact form: your name, your email address, the name of your company or project, its industry, the service you are interested in, your estimated budget and, if you choose to add them, details about your project.
- Email: your address and whatever you write when you email us directly.
- Technical data: the information every browser sends when it loads a page, such as your IP address, browser type and the time of the request. Our hosting provider may log it in order to deliver and protect the site.
- Error reports: if something on the site fails, a report describing the error, the page it happened on and your browser type is sent to our error monitoring service so we can fix it.
You are not obliged to give us any data. The fields marked as required in the contact form are the minimum we need in order to understand your request and reply to it.
Why we use it and on what legal basis
- To answer your enquiry and prepare a proposal. Legal basis: steps taken at your request before entering into a contract.
- To protect the contact form from abuse. We use your IP address for a short time to limit how many messages can be sent from the same address. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in keeping the site secure.
- To keep the site working and fix errors. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in running a reliable website.
- To meet our legal obligations, for example accounting and tax rules, where they apply. Legal basis: compliance with the law.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not make automated decisions about you or build profiles.
Who receives it
Your data is read only by the people at HORSETEK who need it to answer you. We also rely on a small number of service providers that process data on our behalf and only on our instructions:
- Email delivery (Resend): delivers the messages sent through the contact form to our inbox.
- Hosting: serves the website and keeps standard server logs.
- Error monitoring (Sentry): receives the error reports described above.
- Email inbox: stores the messages we receive and the replies we send.
We may also disclose data when the law requires it, for example to a public authority.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some of our providers are based in the United States or may process data there. In those cases the transfer relies on safeguards recognised by the GDPR, such as the EU and US Data Privacy Framework or standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
How long we keep it
- Enquiries: for as long as we need to answer them and to manage any business relationship that follows. If no collaboration results, we delete them once they are no longer needed, and sooner if you ask us to.
- Contracts and invoices: for the period required by accounting and tax law.
- IP addresses used to limit form submissions: a few minutes, in memory only.
- Server logs and error reports: for the limited period set by each provider.
How we protect it
The site is served over an encrypted connection, access to our inbox and tools is restricted to the people who need it, and the contact form is checked on our server and protected against automated abuse. No system is perfectly secure, so if we ever become aware of a breach that puts your data at risk, we will inform you and the supervisory authority as the law requires.
Children
The site is addressed to businesses and professionals. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 16.
Cookies
We do not use tracking or advertising cookies. See our Cookie Policy for what is stored in your browser.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of your data, have it corrected or deleted, limit or object to its use, and receive it in a portable format. Each right, and how to use it, is explained on our GDPR page. You can also lodge a complaint with the Romanian data protection authority (ANSPDCP).
Changes to this policy
We update this policy when the site or the law changes. The date at the top shows the latest version.
